Hello! I'm Alex Li! I build projects that sometimes work. My skills include googling, copying, pasting, and insomnia. Some of my interests include math, coding, cubing, CAD, urbanism, and video production. This is my website where I post longer, more in-depth explanations for videos that I put on my youtube channel, as well as general information about me. Have a nice day!
I spend a lot of time building projects, but I do have some permanent roles. I'm a current officer of my school's web development, electronics, and game development clubs. During the fall I'm a member of my school's cross country team, and I am now participating in robotics during the springtime. I'm also organizing MelonJam, a bi-annual game jam hosted by my school's game development club.
I got a 3d printer as a birthday present in fourth grade, and I started off searching for models on thingiverse to print. Eventually, I decided to start designing my own functional models and publish them myself.
I have tried many forms of programming projects but always enjoyed game development the most.
Since I was a child I've always wanted to build robots, and electronics projects are the closest I've done to robotics so far.
Math is one of my oldest hobbies and I've participated in many math competitions such as the AMC8, AMC10, AIME, and MATHCOUNTS.
I have been producing and editing videos since fourth grade. Recently, I have been learning advanced editing techniques and software.
In 2022, I started speedsolving twisty puzzles, as well as making videos about them and designing different variants. I currently average 26 seconds on 3x3.
I started running competitively in 2024 and unlike my previous sports, I was actually good at it. My 5k PR is currently 18:46.
